Meal planning can help you save time and energy in the kitchen. Here are some tips to help you get started!
Meal planning is a great way to save money and time during the week. By planning ahead, you can create a menu that fits your dietary needs and budget. This blog post will show you how to plan your meals for the week. Follow these simple steps, and you’ll be on your way to an easy and stress-free week of dining!
I usually set a time of the weekend to do my meal planning, even if I am booking a chef to cook for us at home, I try to book the chef ahead of time. On a Friday, I will see who is available and book a personal chef to cook for us on a Monday or Tuesday. Either way, it requires some planning, which I actually enjoy. (control freak over here).
You can always go as detailed as you want, from simply planning great meals for each day of the week, to also including breakfasts and snacks. To start, focus on planning a nice dinner menu for every day and use leftovers for lunch for the following day or freeze them for later use. Keep things interesting by having a variety of balanced and healthy meals; meatless Monday, beef for Tuesday, chicken for Wednesday, fish for Thursday, and Friday for a special themed dinner. Weekends are for dining out or the occasional indulgences.
You can use this meal planning template, which you can then stick in the refrigerator for easy access. This is how you plan your meals for the week:
1. Plan your meals ahead of time or book a meal prep pro in advance.
2. Make a grocery list based on the meals you’ve planned.
3. Shop for groceries and cook dinner during the week (no need to shop or cook with Chefpost’s chef at home service.)
4. Plan your meals around what’s already in your fridge and pantry.
5. Enjoy your home-cooked meals!
